She passed her hearing test today, so I guess there's nothing for me to worry about! Perhaps she's already practicing either disobedience or indifference by not turning to me when I call!
She has also discovered a new sound and practices it OFTEN. It's that raptor sound from Jurassic Park taken to a whole new level. It is also peppered with these high-pitched squeals, which just makes us laugh. So delightful to hear babies discover new sounds...

Ha! Our little Nora makes that noise, too... I always described it as a baby hawk screeching, but I think it does sound more like a velociraptor now that you mention it...
So glad to hear the test went well. It is amazing how we worry about them!
Hi Vicky, So glad to hear the hearing test went well. We have been through that many many times. My boys get hearing tests every 6 months. I don't know if you have ever done this, but you can get a developmental evaluation on the kids at Easter Seals for free. Clayton and Eli had hearing and speech problems starting at 12 months so we started getting evals every 6 months. Clayton and Eli both needed speech therapy and Eli needed Developmental therapy but Ben's development has been above normal so he hasn't needed anything. But I still get him evaluated because it's nice knowing that everything is OK.
If you have any questions about it you can email or call me.
So advanced for her age...already listens like a teenager!
